Swedish Lingonberry Jam at Wholefoods – Svensk Lingonsylt på Wholefoods

IMG_4128

In traditional Swedish cooking, we use lingonberry jam as a side to a lot of the dishes. Lingonberries are small, red, really sour berries that grows in the woods. We pick them and either make jam, or just stir them with sugar. This is usually served to meatballs, with gravy and potatoes or meatloaf. The other day, I found the Swedish brand Felix lingonberry jam at Wholefoods. I bought the jam and tried it the same night, and it tasted just as what I’m used to. A little bit of Sweden in DC.
